Rapi Films is a veteran in the film Industry. It has been in this business for over 35 years.

As one of the leading producers in the country, Rapi Films not only produces films for the domestic market, but also has in the last 15 years successfully penetrated the international market.

Founded in 1968, Rapi Films started its operation in imports of American and European films into Indonesia.

In 1971, it started a new division for production of feature films. As of today, Rapi Films has completed 95 features and has been awarded the Best Picture and Best Box-Offices returns for some of the features.

The production as well as the distribution staff is able to meet new challenges, so as to ensure that Rapi Films continue to deliver quality and creative products for the international market. Rapi Films attends all international films markets such as the American film market, Cannes Film Festival and MIFED.

Towards the end of 1996, Rapi Films started another division concentrating on TV serials. A 28 episodes drama entitled `NOKTAH MERAH PERKAWINAN` (Red Stain on Married Life) rocketed to the top of the nation`s 100 programs, securing a cherished place for the company.

At the Indonesian TV Festival in December 1996, NOKTAH MERAH PERKAWINAN received two awards: Best Actress and Best Child Actress. A sequel to the serial was aired on TV and also received warm response from viewers.

Today, RAPI has it`s serials running on several stations at prime time. Two of the serials have secured top 10 ratings and two serials are at the top 20. By now Rapi Films has produced over a thousand hours.
